An XML-based infrastructure that is aimed at enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all trading partners. ebXML is a modular suite of specifications for standardising XML globally in order to facilitate trade between organisations regardless of size. The specification gives businesses a standard method to exchange XML-based business messages, conduct trading relationships, communicate data in common terms and define and register business processes.
